FarmEX – BVN & Validation Issues
BVN validation not successful. Phone number supplied not matching BVN provided
Despite the mention of "phone number" in the error message, this issue is most commonly caused by a mismatch in your Date of Birth. The Date of Birth on your FarmEX profile must exactly match the one registered with your BVN at your bank.
To fix this:
- Contact your bank or check your bank records to confirm the exact Date of Birth linked to your BVN
- Open FarmEX and go to Account Settings
- Tap Update Bio
- Change your Date of Birth to match your BVN record exactly
- Tap Save
- Try the BVN validation again
Note: Your FarmEX profile details (name, Date of Birth, phone number) must match your bank's BVN records exactly. Even a small difference will cause validation to fail.
This means the BVN you entered is already linked to an existing FarmEX account. This usually happens when:
- You previously created a FarmEX account and validated your BVN on it
- Someone else registered an account using this BVN (rare, but possible)
What to do:
- Try logging in to your existing FarmEX account — go to the Login screen and use the phone number or email associated with that account
- If you've forgotten your login details, tap Forgot Password to reset your credentials
- If you believe your BVN was used without your authorization, or you cannot access the linked account, contact FarmEX support immediately for account recovery assistance
Note: Each BVN can only be linked to one FarmEX account. This is a security measure to protect your identity.
